Gone Girl

Gone Girl is not a new released film and I only have opportunities to watch this couple months ago. This interesting story is a typical genre of my favorite movie.

The movie which based on the novel is about psychopath wife who orchestrated evidences with motive to frame her husband. The movie led by Ben Affleck as mister husband (Nick) and Rosamund Pike as his psycho wife (Amy). Amy was alike public figure and an inspiration of her parent's children book. Nick has a twin sister, Margo whom he shared all stories inside out.

The story started with the sudden disappearance of Amy on their fifth wedding anniversary and received a massive media coverage. Amy flee away with new look and hidden in distant. The evidences which she left behind at their house indicated that Nick could have killed her. The policewomen tasked to lead the investigation. The murder motive could be developed from the proof left and the fact of their disharmony in marriage. The way Amazing Amy fabricated evidences is well planned which only aim to sabotage his husband. The bloods stain evidence found on the floor had showed how Amy had prior suck out her own blood, wiped on floors, cleaned up and left some stain marks. She also left the positive pregnancy test which using others sample to indicate she had pregnant in which this was one of argument topic of their marriage. She was indeed refused to have child which Nick always hoping for. In addition, Amy left the trail of the anniversary gifts with clues. And with journalist experience, Amy utilized her skills to write stories in her diaries implicating all their marriage problems and tendency of Nick hurting her. All of these in turn become evidence to the police references to imply Nick as main suspect of his wife disappearance.

As the story picking up, Nick hired a proven track record lawyer to file his defence. With advise from the lawyer, he appeared in TV talk show confessed his secret affairs with student, maintained innocence statement and apologized for his failures as husband. Amy watched the talk show and seems like Nick had lured her. And the further dark secret of Amazing Amy before the marriage were disclosed. The ability she has to fabricate stories and evidence was even started during college time where her ex-boyfriend was framed by her for rape. Another his ex-boyfriend known as Desi which previously she filed for restraining order by court, however refused to give statement.

During her hideout, Amy was robbed by the crooked neighbor which left her with no money. This is the turning point of the original plan changed. Amy desperately requested an assistance from her ex-boyfriend Desi whom trusted her well and still loving her. Amy changed his plot and now framed Desi of her total disappearance instead of original motive to frame her husband. By using art of self-inflicting, she once again fabricate stories of Desi kidnapped and abused her. In the shot of love making scene, Amy finally killed Desi on the bed and finally portrayed Desi as the scapegoat of the entire plot. Self inflicted wrangle marks on his wrist, forced rape signs using bottle (ouchh this is real pain), and acting of being abuse in front of CCTV.

With blood still showering her body, Amy went back to her house and surprised Nick. While being interrogated, most of the investigators seems to buy in to her stories with all fake evidence she had created. The policewomen who was investigation officer however can find fault with her stories but can't do anything further.

Amy finally declared the truth to Nick as he had always presumed before. Nick planned to expose the plots Amy had fabricated to clutter police and media minds including her killing of Desi. Again Nick been trapped in Amy game as she claimed she was pregnant of Nick's child claiming it is from Nick sperm bank. In the end, in tv talk show, the 'happy'' husband finally announce they are becoming parents soon.

The end.

Enjoy the movie trailer from youtube:

It is very good movie to watch as to entertain yourself and sharpen your psychological mind. As norms, the novel-based film will absolutely deviate from the actual story line in the novel. There are still many things can be debated on the logical relationship and consequence. Maybe all illogical can be killed with the Amazing Amy abilities and skills to manipulate the stories. Haha.
